I can stand on my own!!

Oh my word!!

Nola is growing up so quick! A few weeks ago, she started crawling. Only days later, she began climbing up the stairs! Now, she can pull herself up to standing!! Before you know it, this little girl is going to be running! She's not even 8 months old yet! Yikes!

How festive!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
This weekend, we went to Fernie to celebrate Thanksgiving with Sarah's (my sister-in-law) family. We left on Saturday after Doug was finished gutting our addition and came home on Monday. We had a wonderful dinner with GG on Saturday and the huge thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. It was awesome!
On Monday, Dougie and I were wanting to go do some hiking, but we figured it probably wasn't all that safe with the bears, so we stayed in-doors and carved a pumpkin! As we all know, Nola is pretty petite, so we figured we could fit her in our carved pumpkin.
Here are our efforts!
At first we tried to fit her legs in...

It wasn't working quite the way we thought it would.

So we pulled her out and let her play!

Mmmmm...pumpkin....

Since she didn't fit inside the pumpkin as is, we decided to cut some leg holes.

I'm not too sure how she felt about that...

but, it got better.

Happy festive family!

After we washed the pumpkin off of Nola, we carved it up and took some more shots!

As per usual, Noal tried to eat it!

SUCCESS!!

I am now able to upload photos on to my blog, so here you go!

As promised, an over-load of Nola-ness!

Enjoy!

Tubby time!

Now that Nola can sit up, she is enjoying her bath time much more. She still doesn't smile or coo while in the bath, however she does play with her new bath toys and splash in the water. Here she is having a tubby!

Having a tubby with her turtle.

Got to clean turtles tummy!

Playing with Daddy!

Checking out dippin' dolphin.

Looking at the camera!

Just some cute ones :)

Since I haven't been able to put pictures up for a while, I have a build up of cute, day-to-day pictures of Nola.
Here they are!
We've had such beautiful weather here these past couple weeks, so I am getting as much use as I can out of Nola's summer dresses!
Here she is, siting in the kitchen, waiting for us to go out on our family day :)

So is just too perfect.

Again, Nola in a cutesie dress, hanging out in the living room.

Check out that drool drip :)

Beautiful baby girl.

We have teeth!!! If you look closely, you can see her two bottom teeth. They came in on Sept 6. (6 months)
This is Nola's new thing - sticking her little lizard tongue out.
Here she is, playing with Mr. Bear.
Oh my word....

Doesn't she look big in this picture??

She was watching my Dad play the guitar after she ate.
Dinner and a show!!
Lucky girl.

I'm a BIG girl!

Nola has now learned how to drink for her sippy cup. She still uses slow-flow nipples on her bottle, so she is used to sucking pretty hard to get the milk. Of course, the sippy cup has three very large holes at the spout, so when she took her first drag, she choked on the water.
Poor thing.
She has been using it now for about two weeks and I think she's really getting the hang of it. I'm not too sure how much water she is actually swallowing, but she defiantly sucks the water back and forth between the cup and her mouth. That's a step forward, I guess.
Here she is, Miss Nola Mae, with her big girl cup!

Blueberry girl!

Oh, the wonderful world of solids!
As I have mentioned in a earlier post, I love feeding Nola solids! It has been so much fun, even though it can get super messy! Doug and I have learned that when she eats anything with colour (blueberries, carrots, sweet potatoes, ect.) we need to strip her right down to her diaper, so we don't stain her clothes.
Here is Nola eating one of her favorites - blueberries.
WARNING: Mom's and Dad's out there, if you haven't learned this lesson yet, please heed this warning. Blueberries have lots of fibre...lots and lots of fibre. Fibre makes babies poo...lots and lots of poo. Blueberries make poo blue...very very blue.
Be careful and make sure their diaper is strapped on tight!!!

She's so close....

Finally!! I can upload pictures!! Yay!
Nola is getting so close to crawling. She has been on her hands and knees, rocking back and forth for the past couple weeks. She can move backwards, and in a circle, however there has been no forward movement. I'm sure she'll figure it out soon, then she'll really keep me on my toes!
This is Nola's newest thing while on her hands and knees - the Mowgli walk. She gets up on her hands and tip toes, with her bum up in the air. Haha, it's super cute.

That's it!

Almost there, baby!

So cute :)
