Theo!!

I still have yet to get my hands on Theo!! Ahhh!! We were supposed to see them last week while we were in Calgary, but our kids had had pink eye, so we kept our distance to stay safe. Here are some of his latest.

And how can I resist?!? Here is his big sister, Miss Lou! I doubt she could be any cuter!

Love you guys! Hopefully we will see you soon!

The latest of Alice :)

Check out this angel!!

Love you Alice!!!!!

Our anniversary getaway!

This past weekend, Dougie and I headed off on a weekend getaway to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary!  Our actually anniversary is Jan 18, however with Alice coming in January, it worked best for my folks to watch the kids in February. Mom picked the kids up around 9am Thursday morning and we got her to snap a quick picture.

Can you tell how excited we were?!?!

We headed up to Calgary for a day of shopping. Like I have said before, I love spending time in the car with Doug. We talk about everything and it's wonderful to have one another attention.  Once in Calgary, we went to IKEA to buy some more kid sized chairs. Our plan was head to crossiron mills afterwards to eat at South St Burger, but we decided to get some Vietnamese subs at Tang. If you haven't been there before...go!!! It's a fast food Vietnamese restaurant right by IKEA. It so delicious!!

After Tang we went to Chinook Centre and did some shopping. Doug got new pants and work shirts, I got shoes and some headbands. We headed over to the theatre and watching Kung Fu Panda 3. It was great!!! We have been holding on to a movie coupon for ages, so it was great to put it to use. After the movie, we went for a delicious and fancy dinner at The Smugglers Inn. They have the most delicious salad bar!!! We even got a romantic seat right next to the fire place.

After dinner, we picked up some cheesecake, checked into our hotel and had a soak in the hot tub.

The next morning we ate some breakfast at the hotel and then headed to South Centre Mall. We went for one reason only - The Disney Store!! I love it there! We picked the kids up a couple gifts, grabbed another quick bite at the food court and then headed out Fairmont Hot Springs.

It was another great drive. We may have missed our turn off and drove for an extra hour, but we had a great time. We talked lots, listened to old mixed tapes and enjoyed a few moments on silence.

Once in Fairmont, we did only 3 things: eat, soak and lay in bed. It was AWESOME!! Here is the view from our room.

We spent 2 nights there and had such an amazing time. I really am just so crazy in love with Doug!!! I have such a happy and fulfilling marriage. It is nothing short of a priveldge to be his wife.

8 years down, eternity to go. I can't wait!! Love you Dougie!!

7 brides for 7 brothers!!

Doug and I had our 8th anniversary in January, however we have been celebrating it in February. The past Friday, Doug surprised me with tickets to go and see a live production of 7 Brides for 7 Brothers in Cardston!! It is one of my all-time favourite musicals and was thrilled to see it live!!

Papa came up to Coalhurat to grab the kids before I had to work, and then Doug picked me up from the bank after my shift and we headed down. I love driving with Doug. It is a special time where we just get to talk! It really is amazing how few opportunities we have throughout the day to just talk with one another.

The production itself was fantastic! The lead gal is an absolute star! The brothers were hilarious and the plot moved along quickly. It was an excellent show! Bless Doug - it certainly wasn't his up of tea, but he said he had a good time :)

This Thursday we head out for our anniversary trip to Fairmont. Wahoo!!! We cannot wait :)

I love you Dougie! Thanks for taking such good care of me.

Moms phone

A few weeks back, I looked through my moms phone photos and saw so many cute ones of her with the kids!! They are from over the last year or so. In no particular order, here they are!!

Crafts

I love crafting, especially with my sewing machine. I have been really bad at recording the stuff I have made, so I am resolving to start documenting it now!

I have been making quilts for the new babies in my life. I made one for Remington, Remy and Ali, and Theo's is underway.

This is Ali's quilt and bunting

I also made Remington a book sling for his first birthday

I will post about Theo's once it is done!!!

More Ali June!!

Brace yourself, you will be seeing ALOT of this little girl on my blog :)

Blessed again

As if little Miss Ali June isn't enough, look who else we got..

Meet Theo!!! Dori and Brad welcomed this handsome little man on Jan 27 and I can't wait to get up to Calgary and get my hands on the little one!
