Play date

A few weeks back, Nola had some friends over to play. When Jordyn and Eleanor came to the door, she started squeeling, 'My friends! My friends! Come in! Come see my toys!' She was beyond excited! The girls watched Dora and had a picnic in the living room. It was one of those moments when I realized how big Nola is getting. I still can't believe how fast she is growing up!

Nap?

This is how we found her after to her nap. Oiy...

Aww!

He absolutely melts my heart.

'Twas a looong night

For any of you who read my posts on Facebook, you will know that a few weeks back, both Nola and Robbie teamed up to boycot sleeping. Honestly, the longest stretch of sleep we got in five nights was 3 hrs. Finally, on the Saturday night, Nola was up for the 5th time, so I decided to just put a movie on in the living room for her. I stayed up for a bit, then Doug stayed up with her for a bit. Doug fell asleep on the couch, and when he woke up, this is what he found.

Luckily, the next day after church, all of us came home and had a 3 hr nap! That seemed to get the kids back on track, and I am happy to report they are sleeping again :)

Uh oh...

Last week, while clearing out the kids toys, I found some of Nola's dress up clothes. I put them out for her and this is the outfit she came up with.

Panties, high heels and bunny ears? Oh no...

Snow day!!!

OK, so I may be a total Scrouge about Halloween, but I LOVE winter!!! I was so excited to see all the snow last week! For those of you not from the Lethbridge area, last week we got 27cm of snow overnight. We woke up to a winter wonderland! When I had Nola look out the window, she started sqealing 'Snow!!! Momma, it's snow!!'

The three of us went out for about 20 minutes, then we came back inside to put Robbie down for a nap. Once Robbie was down, Nola and I went back out and shoveled the side walk.

It was awesome!!! Bring on more winter!!

Halloween

Alright, I'm gonna level with ya. I don't like Halloween. Like, at all. I think it is a huge waste of money, HOWEVER I will abide to social convention for my kids.

This year, I worked Halloween day. When I woke up that morning, I felt sick in my stomach, but I just took a Gravol and went on my way. Shortly after the bank opened, I felt really weird. I told my boss, who demanded I leave immediately. It was weird...why was she freakng out so much? I didn't even cash out - I just grabbed my purse and left. I made it to just outside Coalhurst before it hit me. HOLY SMOKES! No wonder they wanted me to leave! I guess a collegue had this same bug and she couldn't even make it it the bathroom, so she got sick on the floor of the bank. I feel sorry for anyone who drove past me, as I didn't have enough to to even unbuckle my seat belt, let alone get over t the ditch :S

Needless to say, I wasn't super excited to trick-or-treat. We did take the kids out for about a half hour. We just did a cul-de-sac by the Watmough's and then went to Wendy Millers and the Puzeys. By the time we got home, both kids were bawling! Haha. Once they had a taste of the candy, they were happy again.

Here are some pic's of my little darlings.

Happy Halloween!

Haha, I'll explain. Nola opened a sucker, but then we couldn't find it. We looked everywhere...where could it have gone?? Haha.
