Eva weekend!

Back in November, Colie and I made a plan to take the girls on a girls night to the mall and then I would bring Eva back to our place for a sleepover. Lucky for us, Meg and Ames were in Lethbridge for the night, so we were all able to meet up! It's a total bummer Dori and Arya couldn't be there with us :(

We ate some food at the food court and then did a little shopping. We went to 'the girl store' AKA Clairs and we let the girls do a little shopping. Colie and I pitched in together and bought everyone Best Friends Forever necklaces. It was a great evening! After the mall we headed back home, watched a movie and then went to bed.

The next morning FCSS held a family breakfast and activity. It sounded fun so we all went. It was great! We filled up on pancakes and OJ then did a 'loose parts' play. Cynthia basically dumped huge buckets full of random things and we were all set off to create! We all loved it and came up with some fun objects. Each of the kiddos got a bag of stuff to take home. I was finding pipe cleaners, coin rollers, clothes pins and playing cards all of the house for weeks!!

We finished the day with an afternoon at the park. We love you Eva and we loved having you over!! We'll do it again soon.

My little blessings

Oh, how deeply I love these children.

It is privileged and blessing to be a mother. Especially their mother.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween totally snuck up on us this year! It was only the night before that we prepared the kids with their costumes. Luckily, we have a HUGE box of costumes so we just had the kiddos pick from there. Nola used a costume from Nana's - a black and orange witch. Rob was Thor, John a puppy, Doug wore a Mexican poncho and I was, as always, Smurfette. We decided not to do our Halloween party this year. Halloween fell on a Monday, and now with the majority of the kiddos being in school, they already partied all day!! It was also FHE and a school night, so we decided to pass. We have LOVED our Halloween parties, but it was nice this year to take it easy and do something just as our family. For the morning, I volunteered with Robbie's class Halloween party. We had so much fun! I love hanging out with that kid and watching him interact with his peers.

Happy Halloween!

Park date

The new park at the elementary school is the bomb. We have loved taking the kids there for the last couple months. Some of my best family memories are playing at the park. Oh, how I love my family!

John turns three!!

As he does with all the kiddos, Doug took Johns birthday off of work to celebrate! That morning, after John opened his gifts from the family, we made a last minute decision to head up to Calgary for a Walton Family Fun Day! John was a little bit cranky, but it still was a great day. One of the highlights was playing at the arcade. Nola and Robbie went on a motion sensor game and it was hilarious! Robbie was going back and forth between being terrified and loving it! Doug and I laughed pretty darn hard watching them.

Another great day with my sweet little family. Happy birthday John John!
