Nerds!

Rob got ahold of my glasses...

Bahahaha!! I nearly died! He is too cute. Nola had to give them a go too.

Two cuties!! Love you guys!

Brother time!

When Nola went to sparks last week, the boys wanted to make forts.

I love spending time with these guys!!

Chocolates!!!

On Remembrance Day, we headed to Cardston for chocolate making. It was wonderful - the kids made some Remembrance Day crafts, we read a Remembrance Day story and then Mama talked about her father, Great Grandpa Louis who was in the war. Remembrance Day was and is very important to my family, so I am very glad we were able to make time honour it.

After Remembrance Day observance, we got right into the chocolate! We made tons! Mama makes all the fondant, then all us kids and grandkids melt, roll, dip (and taste) the chocolates. It's lots of work, but so fun!! It's wonderful now that the May kids are getting older - we just visit!! Ami was a babysitting all-star! She took the kids to play in the snow in the yard and kept them down stairs while we dealt with the nuts.

We also gave out white elephant gifts, which were hilarious! Doug came home with an assortment of canded meats, John got some motion sensors and night lights, Nola got farting bunny slippers, Rob got an elephant hat and I got a hand on a stick. Random and fantastic.

It was a great day!

Let's get dippin'!
Haha - love Remy's choco-face!

Ain't Jax so pretty?!

Nola and Eva drew on Ami's face while she was sleeping.
Eva drew on herself because she thought it was beautiful. She actually got pretty sad when everyone laughed at her because she really thought it was beautiful! Haha.

Nola - farting bunny slippers
Eva - candy overload

Happy Halloween!!

I used to hate Halloween, however I find I am liking it more and more each year. Partly, I'm sure, because the kids are gettin older and also because we have been throwing parties on Halloween night! I love having people over :)

Before the party began, Doug took the kids to see Michelle and Tony, Auntie Jo and Uncle Trev, and Dragan and Maja. The kids wee so excited to FINALLY get into their costumes.

Princess Nola

Leonardo

Squishy monster/ Iron Man

The party guests arrived at 6 and we took the kids out trick or treating. It was insane!! Haha! We took out 11 kids, all 5 and under. The kids were having such a blast.

We were out for about an hour before we headed back to our place. The kids each picked a treat from their treat bags, Melissa made some healthy snacks (boo-nanas and witches brooms), Nickie brought some yummy punch and then we played games!

Bobbing for apples

Donuts on a string

We also played 'pin the eyes on the monster.'

With a few donuts left, some of the boys got a chance to show off their donut on a string eating skills. It was TOO funny!!

Notice Sam smooching it up against Doug's head. Bahaha!!!

The kids were hilarious while this was happening! They were all crowed around, cheering their Daddy on!! Nola gave Doug a great big hug after and told him she was proud. Haha!

And no party is completely without a dance party. I think we are all raising a group of ravers....

Halloween party highlights
- John was extremely protective of his candy basket and his treats. He was also very stealthy and ate WAY too much junk, including a regular size mars bar.
- when calling the kids upstairs for the dance party, Bitty calls out 'Let's get this party started!!' Haha!
- Melissa's amazing pregnant mom dance. I am still laughing!!
- Deanna's costume. Bahaha!! Grumpy cat!
- John and Uncle Clint had 'rawr'-ing battles :)
- Elizabeth TOTALY killed it with the donut on the string game. She ate the donut in like 5 seconds! It was impressive.
- Jesse's face during the donut game. Look back at the pictures - hilarious!!

I love my friends and I am so glad we could hang out together and make some memories.

Happy Halloween!!
