We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo!

On the last day of our vacation we made a last minute decision to go to the zoo for the day! It was perfect. We didn’t even get out of the house until 10 or 11am, so we just spent the afternoon walking around and checking things out. We go to the zoo every year with my family, but again, it was so nice to do it as our own family unit. We LOVED the dinosaur park. They now have ‘Dinosaur’s Alive’ which are animatronic dinos and they are the coolest! I love the T-Rex…I could watch him all day. We saw pretty much every animal and took it easy. Some of the kids fav’s were the snow leopards, lions, butterfly conservatory and the gorillas. There was a brand new baby gorilla which was SO cute!! And in the butterfly conservatory, a butterfly landed on Robbie’s shirt and Doug’s hat. The kids were very excited about this!!!

After the zoo we went for dinner at Denny’s and then headed home. Yet another brilliant day with my family. Life is good!!!!
